The Scanners - Pills
Another blast from the past remixed/remastered from the old Teac 244 portastudio tapes.
The Scanners - Pills
Originally recorded some time around June 1984 at GT’s place at Reading University with Johnny - Vocals, Dext - Guitar, Loz - Bass and (me) Tone on Drums. 27 years later I transferred the 4 recorded tracks in to Ableton, got Dext to come over and re record some the guitar parts and set about remixing.
The song written by Bo Diddley was a staple of our live set at the time but used the New York Dolls arrangement/lyrics.
best bass line ever!

Sex Pistols Official “God Save The Queen” for no.1 on Queen’s b’day 2010
In June 1977 the charts were manipulated to prevent God Save The Queen being no.1 as it would have been a major embarrassment to the Queen’s silver jubilee celebrations. Following RATMs Xmas no.1 success, let’s give another 2 fingered salute to the establishment and give a band who are a national treasure the debut chart topper they deserve. The official birthday is marked by the ceremony of “Trooping the Colour” on Saturday 12th June 2010. We want the Sex Pistols at no.1 to coincide with this event.
Download the song between midnight Sunday 30th May and midnight Sat 5th June.
